I earned my PhD in Philosophy from the Philosophy, Interpretation and Culture program at Binghamton University. My dissertation explored care ethics and professional caregiving in relation to the AIDS epidemic.
In addition to teaching at Ithaca College, I have taught writing and writing intensive classes at Binghamton University, Elmira College, Keuka College, Northern Arizona University, Excelsior College and the Bard College Prison Program.
Prior to going to graduate school, I worked within the not for profit world for ten years serving first as a front line provider and then as a program administrator. As an administrator, my responsibilities included overseeing a health education department, grant writing, program development and the supervision of staff and student interns.
