Paula Twomey joined the faculty of Ithaca College in 2009. She has a B.A. in Spanish language and literature from SUNY Albany, and an M.A. from Middlebury College (Madrid Program). During her career she has been the recipient of a Rockefeller Foundation grant to travel to Spain to research cultural sites, an NEH grant to study Federico García Lorca, and an Einaudi Grant (Cornell University) for writing curriculum on Cervantes’ Don Quixote. Her travel experience includes Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Argentina, and Cuba (legally). Paula has published several Spanish textbooks with Teacher’s Discovery, including Reflexiones, Siga! Siga!, Un-Classic Fairy Tales With a Twist, Un-Classic Aesop's Fables with a Twist, Improvisaciones, Escribamos, Hablemos, Charlemos y Escribamos Un-Classic Greek Myths in Spanish , Imaginemos Eso, and Charlemos y Escribamos. She is currently working on a series of readers including Cultural Readings of Mexico, Cultural Readings of Spain, and Cultural Readings of Argentina.
