Phil's background and training make him a natural fit to serve as the School of Music's Operations & External Relations Officer.  Phil spent ten years working as a recording engineer and music producer in the 1990s and early 2000s.  He worked with a variety of recording artists including Aaron Neville, Macy Gray, The Fugees, 311, David Crosby, Tony Iommi, Stevie Wonder, Hole, and many others.  Phil was fortunate to earn a multitude of Gold and Platinum records for his efforts as well as working on a number of Grammy-winning recordings.  After leaving the music industry, Phil earned his law degree at UCLA and a Ph.D. from Penn State in Higher Education.  Phil worked in external relations for nearly five years at both small colleges and large universities before joining IC.  This diverse training ensures that Phil will be a tremendous asset to Ithaca College and the School of Music.
