Hiya!
What a wild ride my professional career has been! My clinical background for OT includes working in primarily medical settings with adults and I also have had my own private practice as a chiropractor. These experiences fuel my passion for broadening student perspectives on health and well-being within the current healthcare system. Whenever possible, I incorporate integrative health concepts into my teaching and I thrive on supervising occupational therapy students at the Ithaca Free Clinic, a local community-based integrative health practice.
I also value advocacy, so have contributed to expanding awareness of integrative health occupational therapy by co-founding and co-facilitating AOTA's Integrative Health Occupational Therapy Community of Practice, twice writing AOTA's position paper on IHOT, and serving as the New York State representative to the AOTA Representative Assembly.
