Dr James Minas is Assistant Professor of Management in the Ithaca College School of Business where he teaches courses in Business Analytics and the Decision Sciences.
Dr Minas' research interest is modelling and analysis of complex management problems to provide insights to decision makers. Application areas he has worked on include: disaster preparedness and response, supply chain risk, buyer-supplier contracts and healthcare delivery. His research has appeared in leading journals such as: Annals of Operations Research, Computers & Operations Research, Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of the Operational Research Society and Omega.
He received his PhD in Operations Research from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne. Before his doctoral studies he worked as a systems manager and consultant in the construction and transportation industries.
