Welcome to Ithaca College and thank you for visiting my faculty page! I have been honored to work for the SLPA department since 2009 as a Clinical Supervisor. Speech language pathology students under my supervision provide language enhancement and early literacy awareness activities in local preschool classrooms, work with a variety of clients in our on campus speech and hearing clinic, provide accent modification services to English Language Learners, and navigate vetted simulations to further enhance their knowledge base and experience.

While living in the Ithaca area, I have also worked as a speech pathologist for a local K-12 school system, provided supervision for a new graduate completing their Clinical Fellowship Year, and worked in a local retirement community. Earlier in my career, I provided home health care services for adults and children, worked in nursing homes, and for a birth-21 year old multidisciplinary evaluation center. Along the way I have treasured the value of teams and teamwork, the love of lifelong learning, and the invaluable role of communication in improving and enhancing our lives.

I grew up in Chapel Hill, NC, studied English and French as an undergraduate at Wake Forest University, and earned my MS in Speech and Hearing Sciences from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Current hobbies include running, cooking, quilting, crocheting, and playing with my beagle, 3 cats, and my family.
