I earned my bachelors degree in Biology and Athletic Training from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. I completed my masters degree at Arcadia University (Beaver College) in Glenside, PA. While on the faculty at Ithaca College I completed my PhD in Educational Leadership with a focus in Higher Education from Touro University International.
I hold a license to practice physical therapy and athletic training from the State of New York. I am certified as an athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association. I am credentialed in Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy from the McKenzie Institute USA and hold my certificate as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist from National Strength & Conditioning Association. I have practiced in acute care, private practice, home care, pain management settings as well as consulting at both pediatric and adult group homes.
In 2016, I assumed the role of the Coordinator for the Ithaca Seminar program which provides me the opportunity to collaborate with faculty and staff in providing first year students with a first academic experience targeted at enabling their academic success as well as facilitating both social and academic transition to college. For academic years 2016-17 and 2017-18 I am serving as the Interim Associate Dean in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance.
