Anne Schneider, PT, DPT, PCS is an Assistant Clinical Professor and Assistant Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Physical Therapy at Ithaca College. She received her Master’s in Physical Therapy from the University of Scranton and her DPT from Arcadia University.
Dr. Schneider has 20+ years of experience as a physical therapist in a variety of settings and states. In 2015, she began specializing in the treatment of pediatric clients. Schneider has worked in the early intervention, preschool, school-age, and outpatient settings. Her passion is early intervention due to its family-centered nature and team-based approach to care. In 2023, she became an ABPTS Board-Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist. Dr. Schneider continues to provide early intervention services in Tompkins County for Racker, where she previously served as the Director of Clinical Services.
Dr. Schneider is an experienced educator. She taught in the Exercise Science and Sports Studies department at St. Lawrence University, served an adjunct clinical professor for the Physical Therapy departments at Clarkson University and Ithaca College. Before joining Ithaca College, Dr. Schneider served as the Assistant Director of Clinical Education and Clinical Assistant Professor for the Division of Physical Therapy at Binghamton University in Vestal, NY.
Dr. Schneider’s scholarly interests include investigating workforce capacity within the Early Intervention Program, Early Intervention provider health and well-being, alternative models for early intervention programming to increase capacity and decrease wait times, and investigating ways to enhance clinical education programming to ensure seamless transitions from classroom to clinic. She is actively engaged in ongoing research, professional service, advocacy, and curriculum development.
Dr. Schneider lives in Ithaca, NY with her husband, three kids, and two dogs.
