Wendy Dann is a stage director and writes plays and screenplays. She serves as professor of directing at Ithaca College in the School of Music, Theatre and Dance. 

Regional work includes: The Alliance Theatre, The Repertory Theatre at St. Louis, Dallas Theatre Center, Syracuse Stage, Capitol Repertory Theatre, Kitchen Theatre, MusicalFare Theatre, Cherry Arts, as well as seven seasons as associate artistic director at the Hangar Theatre. 

Wendy's original play, Birds of East Africa, received its world premiere at the Kitchen Theatre Company in 2017. Her play, The Strangest Thing, was a finalist for the 2010 and 2012 O'Neill Theatre Center's National Playwrights Conference. The ten-minute play Brother Love was a finalist for the Arts & Letters Drama Prize. Wendy received the 2013 NYFA Fellowship in Playwriting.

Wendy's short film, La Casa Verde, premiered at the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival and was invited to the San Antonio International Film Festival. She was a winner of the virtual pitch contest at the Austin Film Festival in the summer of 2020 and was invited to participate in The Writers Lab 2021 as a television writer.

Wendy holds an MFA in Directing from Syracuse University and a BFA in Acting from Ithaca College. Member, SDC.
