BIOGRAPHY
Wendy Dann is an assistant professor in the Theatre Arts Department at Ithaca College. Courses include Directing I, Directing II, and mentoring the senior directing projects. She is the director and co-author of Sammy & Me, a one-man musical with Eric Jordan Young, with productions at the Alliance Theatre (Atlanta, GA), the Hangar Theatre (Ithaca, NY), MusicalFare Theatre (Buffalo, NY) and the National Black Theatre Festival. The musical is currently under option with New Vintage productions in New York City. Dallas Theatre Center and Casa Manana: To Kill A Mockingbird (upcoming); Hangar Theatre: 39 Steps, Betrayal, No Child..., Bad Dates, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, I Am My Own Wife, Cats ,The Blue Room, and Stones in His Pockets. Syracuse Stage: Chesapeake. Capitol Repertory Theatre: No Child... Cider Mill Playhouse: Dancing at Lughnasa. Kitchen Theatre: Nora, The Unexpected Man, Three Days of Rain, Chesapeake, The Soup Comes Last, and The Cripple of Inishmaan. Her play, The Strangest Thing, was named a finalist at the 2010 O'Neill Theatre Center's National Playwrights Conference. In development: The Liberator (musical).
