Wendy Dann is a director and playwright and serves as assistant professor in the Theatre Arts Department at Ithaca College. 

She is the director and co-author of Sammy & Me, a one-man musical with Eric Jordan Young, with productions at the Alliance Theatre (Atlanta, GA), the Hangar Theatre (Ithaca, NY), MusicalFare Theatre (Buffalo, NY) and the National Black Theatre Festival.  Regional work includes: The Repertory Theatre at St. Louis (upcoming), Dallas Theatre Center, Syracuse Stage, Capitol Repertory Theatre, Kitchen Theatre, as well as seven seasons as associate artistic director under Kevin Moriarty at the Hangar Theatre. 

Her play, The Strangest Thing, was a finalist for the 2010 and 2012 O'Neill Theatre Center's National Playwrights Conference. The ten-minute play Brother Love was a finalist for the Arts & Letters Drama Prize and was included in the Winter 2014 edition of Stone Canoe. 

Wendy received the 2013 NYFA Fellowship in Playwriting.

In development: The Liberator and Birds of East Africa.  Founding member: Breaking Bread Theatre.  Wendy holds an MFA in Directing from Syracuse University.
