Currently, Dr. Bae is teaching, Problems in College Sport, and Sport Event and Facility Management. In the past, he has taught Introduction to Sport Management, Business of Sport Agency, World of Business, Sport Economics, Strategic Management in Sport as well as Financial Aspects of Sport. Dr. Bae’s primary areas of scholarly interest are sport marketing, intercollegiate sport, Sport Communication, and Sport Psychology. Dr. Bae has two research foci. He conducted research and published scholarly journals about golf participation motivation of Korean and American students, the reasons why Korean professional female golfers have been successful in securing such a dominant position on the LPGA Tour, and the academic and athletic motivation among student-athletes in college, and their career transition after sport. Currently Dr. Bae is examining Sport Analytics with a goal of using big data and machine learning such as R and Python in order to predict wins, player performance, and player salaries. Furthermore, Dr. Bae is a basketball agent for the Korean Professional Basketball League working with various prestigious sport agencies. He has placed several players in Korea over the last five years and also helps other players to secure contracts with various Asian teams. In the near future, Dr. Bae plans on seeking National Basketball Association agent certification.  Dr. Bae was a basketball player in Korea.

In addition, Dr. Bae is certified golf teaching professional with the United States Golf Teaching Federation, USGTF.
