I teach principles of economics, economic development, and occasionally econometrics at Ithaca College. I also design and teach executive courses for professional economists in developing countries. My research interest is poverty and public policy in developing countries, primarily Africa, but also the Andean region. I have been lucky to live and work in many interesting places over the years, including Ecuador, Ghana, Uganda, and several other African countries. I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for economic development in these places with my students.
