Summer 2008 program

Ithaca College will host a Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program during the summer of 2008. This program is sponsored by the National Science Foundation and is designed to provide talented undergraduates majoring in Computing Sciences or closely related disciplines the opportunity to experience the challenge and excitement of working on a team-oriented, collaborative research project.

About the Program

Student participants will work on a research team with other students and a faculty mentor to carry out a research project. Research teams will present the final results of their work at an open poster session during the final week of the program and, where appropriate, at their home institutions and/or scholarly venues such as conferences.

Program Details

  • Program runs from June 02 through August 01, 2008
  • Students will receive (for the 9 week period)
  • $3,800 stipend
  • On-campus housing and meals
  • Up to $400 travel reimbursement
