I earned my bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Lowell in Massachusetts and my doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in Pennsylvania. I am licensed Physical Therapist in New York and Massachusetts. My clinical work has been primarily in the field of geriatrics and I earned specialist certification in geriatrics (GCS) from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in May of 2015.
I began my clinical practice in acute care focusing on cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation and geriatric orthopedics. I continued to pursue my love of working with geriatric patients in the Skilled Nursing and Home Care settings as both a clinician and Director of Rehabilitation. In the fall of 2014, I began teaching at Ithaca College as part-time faculty and then as full-time faculty in the fall of 2015. I currently continue limited clinical practice in both home care and SNF settings when not teaching.
Current teaching responsibilities include the Center for Life Skills program, Teaching and Learning, Psychosocial Aspects of Patient Care and lab instruction for Cardiac and Pulmonary Testing and Management as well as Mobility Training.
