Susan Seaver

In the Fall of 2003, I arrived in central New York to begin teaching at Ithaca College. My teaching career began many years earlier when I decided to share my love and passion of Art by teaching it to others. I have taught in a variety of settings and institutions; public and private schools, art centers, museums, colleges and universities.

Since arriving at Ithaca College, I have developed both the Art Education Program and a variety of Studio Courses. My areas of focus here at IC are Introduction to Drawing, Introduction to Sculpture, Three-Dimensional Design, and Art Education.

My personal area of art work is sculptural in nature, working with ceramic materials. I hold an undergraduate degree in Art with a concentration in sculpture and a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics. In addition, I have a strong interest in Art History and I'm completing a second Masters Degree in this area with a focus on Ceramic Art History.
