Research Interests:

Determining the impact that the Ithaca College/Longview partnership has on the students and residents who are involved in intergenerational activities.

Areas of Professional Interest and Development:

• Dementia, particularly Alzheimer’s Disease – the impact of the disease on individuals who have it, as well as on caregivers; interventions to enhance or maintain cognitive functioning

• Cognitive Retraining and other interventions to promote cognitively healthy aging and to ‘prevent’ memory loss and dementia

• Healthy aging – factors that affect physical, mental and cognitive health as individuals age
