Miranda Kaye joined the department of Exercise and Sport Science in 2009, returning to Ithaca 10 years after graduating from Cornell. In her time away from Ithaca Miranda: taught preschool, kindergarten, and PE, coached high school cross-country, track, and soccer, worked with multiple Big 10 track programs, and completed her M.S. in Exercise Science and Ph.D. in Kinesiology.
Currently, Dr. Kaye teaches classes in sport and exercise psychology, research methods, and statistics. She is active in research which focuses on achievement motivation and behavior. There currently are a number of projects underway and students are encouraged to assist in the research process. Dr. Kaye also consults with athletes on performance enhancement through psychological skills training. Additionally, in her free time, she enjoys running, hiking with her two dogs, and growing and cooking delicious food.
