With an eclectic background in higher education administration, textiles and clothing, public relations, fund-raising, librarianship, community development, and teaching, MaryBeth keeps one foot on campus and one in the Tompkins County community. Dedicated to experiential learning, she connects students with real-world experiences and professionals; MaryBeth utilizes her network and background to benefit students and community colleagues. Academically, she holds a B.A. from Macalester College (Theatre Arts and English), an M.S. from Miami University (Textiles & Clothing), and the M.L.S. from Kent State University. She has served as a librarian, communications leader and grants administrator at Cornell University, development director at the Hangar Theatre and Alternatives Impact/FCU, and as a community leader for the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce, Foodnet/Meals on Wheels, the Kitchen Theatre, Light in Winter Festival, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Finger Lakes. She is a graduate of Leadership Tompkins and a member of the Ithaca Rotary Club. At Ithaca College she serves as Lecturer in Theatre Arts Management (Fundraising in the Performing Arts) and in Strategic Communications (Contemporary Topics: Public Relations).
