The Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra will join forces with the Cornell Symphony for a free performance of Gustav Holst's The Planets on Saturday, October 11, at 8:00 p.m. in Bailey Hall on the Cornell University campus.

The program will open with a Respighi work inspired by three paintings by Botticelli and continue with "Commedia for (Almost) 18th-Century Orchestra," composed in 1972 by William Bolcom. Bolcom is the fall visiting professor in composition at the School of Music. The concert concludes with Beethoven's seventh symphony.
