Biography

I grew up near Albany, NY, but spent most of the last ten years in New York City or here in the Finger Lakes Region.  As an undergraduate, I studied English Literature at Elmira College. Following graduation, I moved to New York City, where I earned my M.F.A. in Poetry from Hunter College. My work has appeared in several journals, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.  When I'm not writing poems or grading papers, I can likely be found on my porch, drinking coffee, and reading Audre Lorde or June Jordan.
