WRTG-20100
Persuasive Argument (WRTG-20100) teaches students logical strategies for presenting and defending written ideas. The course introduces a variety forms of persuasion. My version specializes in classical Roman rhetoric, specifically the speeches and exercises of Marcus Tullius Cicero. Students examine the fall of the Late Republic and and are invited to draw parallels to current political events.
