Academic Writing I (WRTG-106000) teaches the writing and critical skills necessary to perform well across the college curriculum. This section ("Poor Richard's Legacy: Benjamin Franklin and the American Dream") examines the impact of business and science on our culture. Class readings and assignments address such topics education and the marketplace; industry, technology, and progress; mass media and public opinion; and current issues and enduring questions in American society.
