Dennis Charsky is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication and Director of the Communication Management and Design major at Ithaca College.
Dr. Charsky teaches, conducts research, and consults in the areas of instructional design and technology’s impact on employee performance. Specifically Dr. Charsky's expertise focuses on the role visual, information, and interactive design has on eLearning and the use of games and collaborative technology to create innovative online and face to face workplace learning. His research has been accepted for presentation and publication in Games and Culture, Computers & Education, TechTrends, United States Distance Learning Conference, Association for Educational Communications and Technology, and the Professional and Organizational Development in Higher Education.
He currently teaches courses in Instructional Design, eLearning, Virtual Teams, Educational Technology, Visual Design, Interactive Media, and Serious Games to graduate and undergraduate students. Dr. Charsky has taught professional development seminars for the Graduate and Professional Studies divisionat Ithaca College. He has also worked as a consultant providing expertise on content architecture, information design, and eLearning design and development.
Dr. Charsky earned his Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Northern Colorado.
