John Confer. 2008. Directed a seminar on managing for biological stability in the Park Preservation System, a portion of the New York State Parks. The 1-hr presentation was part of the 10th anniversary of the creation of Sterling Forest State Park and was presented at the state park on 28 September.

Presented a paper on 20 Sep. in Rochester, NY at the annual meeting of the New York State Ornithological Conference entitled Golden-winged Warbler Conservation from Canada to South America, with input from GPS/GIS, and bears, and Molecular DNA, and Timber Rattlesnakes. The paper was co-authored by 2008 graduates, Erin Alvey (TV-R) and James Walker (Env. Sci.).
