These are pictures from my trip to Ghana through the short-term study abroad program at IthacaCollege. Four students registered for the class and traveled to Ghana with me. Students who travel to Ghana each year are never the same; they experience the love of the Ghanaian people while learning about African culture, music, dance, Art, recording, indigenous animal, rain forest and historical sites. They also take timeout to relax in the beautiful waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
Ghana is a great place with beautiful people it is my prayer that one day there will be no poverty in the world and people from all walks of life will learn to live in peace and harmony together. We have a responsibility as the world’s richest nation to help other nations who are in need of the basic necessities of life…i.e. clean drinking water, electricity, waste management and food just to name a few. Please don’t be deceived by these photos Ghana is in great need from all of us. If you would like to go to Ghana and help while experiencing an adventure of a lifetime please contact me @ bwhitehead@ithaca.edu. Plans are to leave around May 23, 2007.
Enjoy the pictures
