Michael Buck

About me

I earned my bachelors degree in Biology and Athletic Training from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. I earned my masters degree from Beaver College now Arcadia University in Glenside, PA and graduated with highest honors. I am currently attending Touro University International and working toward my PhD in Educational Leadership.  I have completed my coursework and am currently working on my dissertation.  My topic of interest is investigating student based factors that impact students' perceptions of teaching effectiveness.  My target date for completion is December 2007.

I hold a license to practice physical therapy and athletic training from the State of New York. I am certified as an athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association. I am credentialed in Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy from the McKenzie Institute USA and hold my certificate as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist from National Strength & Conditioning Association.

In addition to being part of the faculty at Ithaca College, I am also a physical therapist with Gentiva Helath Services, a home health care agency.

I am currently a member of the Horseheads Central School District Board of Education.
