Recent Work
Aspects of environmentalism, the environment and my personal surroundings continue to inspire my work. The result is sculptures and drawings that reflect these observations. Traveling down an old dirt road, hiking through the woods and gardening in my backyard are a large part of my research. Environmental issues are read, heard and watched through mass media constantly feed my conceptualizing. Being active in my personal environment allows me to be enthralled by nature and biomorphic form while thoughts drift concerning on global environmental issues. These issues are sometimes revealed in the art, but often lie well beneath the surface. This is a reflection of the clarity of our role and responsibility to the environment.
