Bill Hastings is a 1992 graduate of Ithaca College. He has lived in the area on and off since 1988. Initially being drawn to the Ithaca area to study, he has developed a sense of place and home in the beauty of the Fingerlakes of Upstate New York. Ithaca College was the start of this journey where he graduated with honors from the Art Department. However, his major was Planned Studies: an interdisciplinary major that incorporated areas of education from the departments of Communications, Art history and Studio Arts. After leaving Ithaca, he attend The University of Connecticut on a fellowship to study Sculpture. He received an MFA from UConn in 1997. He has been teaching part-time and full-time at Ithaca College since 1998.
