Asma Barlas Presents in Iceland

Professor of politics Asma Barlas, director of the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, part of the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies, was invited by the Nordic Society for the Philosophy of Religion to give the keynote at its annual conference on Religion and the Politics of the Body at the University of Iceland, Reykjavek, on June 26. 

The title of her paper was "Islam and Body Politics: Inscribing (Im)morality."
