Kayleigh Plumeau, PT, DPT is an Ithaca area native, who graduated from Ithaca College with her Master of Science in Physical Therapy and Doctorate of Physical Therapy degrees in 2008. She is licensed to practice as a physical therapist in the state of New York. Upon graduating from Ithaca College, Dr. Plumeau was employed as a physical therapist and clinic director at a private outpatient orthopedic practice in Rochester, NY. Although her primary area of specialty is orthopedics, she has also worked in the home health setting, where she has had the opportunity to work with patients of all ages and with a broad range of diagnoses. Dr. Plumeau has served as a clinical instructor for many PT students over the years and joined the PT department faculty and clinical education team in June 2015. Her primary responsibility in the program is clinical education, overseeing clinical experiences during the professional phase. Dr. Plumeau's primary teaching duties are in the Professional Development series, while also being involved in Musculoskeletal Examination and Evaluation, Integrated Clinical Education, and Case Report I and II. She maintains her clinical practice in the Ithaca College Occupational and Physical Therapy Clinic, with a focus on the prevention and treatment of orthopedic conditions. Dr. Plumeau's scholarly interests are focused on oncology rehabilitation, specifically the impact of PT and exercise on Cancer survivors, as well as interprofessional education.
